National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah has expressed confidence in NC candidate Mian Altaf Ahmad, who has filed his nomination for the Anantnag-Rajouri seat in Jammu and Kashmir. Abdullah stated that Ahmad would represent all parties of the India alliance and expressed hope for his victory in the upcoming elections.

Meanwhile, commenting on Ghulam Nabi Azad’s decision to not contest the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, Omar Abdullah stated that it was not shocking, as they were already aware of his decision. He noted that Azad had fielded a candidate from his party and expressed curiosity about the public’s response to Azad’s party in the elections.
