Despite Eid celebrations in Pakistan, the Baloch community took to the streets across the nation to condemn enforced disappearances and other human rights violations. During Eid festivities, the Baloch community organized nationwide protests to bring attention to the issue of enforced disappearances and other injustices. Women and children participated actively in anti-Army rallies held in various parts of Balochistan province, demanding justice and accountability.

Baloch Student Council’s Protest

The Baloch Student Council Islamabad organized demonstrations protesting against enforced disappearances, harassment, and racial profiling of Baloch students in educational institutions situated in Punjab and Islamabad. The council highlighted cases where students had to abandon their studies due to human rights violations, emphasizing the urgent need for the safe recovery of missing students.

Prominent Activists Speak Out

Renowned Baloch leader and activist Sammi Deen Baloch took to social media to shed light on the plight of families affected by enforced disappearances. He emphasized the ongoing struggle against state-sponsored human rights violations, with families of missing persons protesting in Islamabad, Karachi, and Balochistan during Eid celebrations.

Demand for Freedom and Justice

The President of Baloch Voice Association, based in Paris, echoed the sentiments of the Baloch community, emphasizing the demand for freedom, liberty, and the safe release of victims of enforced disappearances by the Pakistani military. Despite Eid festivities, the Baloch people continued to voice their grievances and demand justice.

Previously, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) and prominent social leaders urged the people of Balochistan to participate in protests held during Eid.
