Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has secured their first win in the Indian Premier League-2024. The team defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by 31 runs in the 8th match of the current season on Wednesday. Hyderabad scored the highest score in IPL history. The previous record was recorded in the name of RCB. Bengaluru scored 263 runs against Pune Warriors in the 2013 season.

Hyderabad scored 277 runs

Hyderabad has set a target of 278 runs for Mumbai to win. The team scored a huge score of 277 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs. Heinrich Klaasen scored 80 off 34 balls. Abhishek Sharma contributed 63 off 23 balls and Travis Head contributed 62 runs off 24 balls. Aiden Markram scored 42 runs off 28 balls. For Mumbai, Hardik Pandya, Gerald Kootzee and Piyush Chawla got one wicket each.

Abhishek Sharma has scored a half-century in 16 balls. He is the fastest batsman to score a half-century from Hyderabad. Abhishek broke Travis Head’s record of 18 balls, which Head made 22 minutes ago.

Hardik Pandya becomes 3rd batsman to hit 100 sixes for MI

Hardik Pandya became the third player to hit 100 sixes for Mumbai Indians. Earlier, Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard have scored more than 100 sixes for the team.
