The Urban Development and Housing Department has invited bids for installing Smart Traffic Signal Systems at eight major intersections in the city. The project includes maintenance during a one-year warranty period, followed by three years of post-warranty service.
The systems will be installed at key locations, including Bariyarpur NH-28 Zero Mile Bypass, Awadhesh Chowk, Chhatauni Chowk, Gandhi Chowk (Meenabazar), Gayatri Nagar Mandir, Sadar Hospital Chowk, Janul Chowk, and Kachahari Chowk.
The new systems will feature LED signals with red, amber, and green lights. The green signals will also include arrows indicating directions—left, right, and forward. Each pole will be equipped with both vertical and horizontal displays and a countdown timer to help drivers manage transitions smoothly.
The project will involve all necessary civil, mechanical, and electrical work to ensure smooth operation across these intersections.
