Election Commission of India Initiates Transfers in Andhra Pradesh Police Department

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has taken decisive action in Andhra Pradesh, transferring the state's Director General of Police (DGP) Intelligence, P Sitaramanjaneyulu, with immediate effect. Sources indicate that the ECI has requested the Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary to send a panel of three ADGP rank IPS officers by 3 pm tomorrow.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has taken decisive action in Andhra Pradesh, transferring the state’s Director General of Police (DGP) Intelligence, P Sitaramanjaneyulu, with immediate effect. Sources indicate that the ECI has requested the Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary to send a panel of three ADGP rank IPS officers by 3 pm tomorrow.

According to ANI, the ECI has also transferred the Commissioner of Police in Vijayawada, Kanthi Rana Tata, as well as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for the South Zone in Hyderabad, P Sai Chaitanya. The reasons for these transfers have not been officially disclosed.
