In an exciting game at the Wankhede Stadium, the Mumbai Indians (MI) scored their first win of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL) season, beating the Delhi Capitals (DC) by a solid 29-run margin in the 20th match.

Mumbai made a strong total of 234 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. In response, Delhi Capitals couldn’t keep up, scoring 205 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs.

The most exciting part of Mumbai’s batting was the last over, where Romario Shepherd hit six fours in a row off Anrich Nortje’s bowling. Shepherd scored a quick 39 runs off just 10 balls. Tim David also played well, scoring 45 runs off 21 balls and adding 53 runs with Shepherd. Captain Rohit Sharma made 49 runs, while Ishan Kishan added 42 runs. Hardik Pandya scored 39 runs off 33 balls. Among Delhi’s bowlers, Axar Patel took two wickets.

This win is a big boost for the Mumbai Indians, giving them momentum in IPL 2024.
