815 Teachers FIRED?! See Why They’re All Under Investigation

Teachers involved in the surveillance probe will lose their jobs. The Bihar Education Department has sent letters to the District Education Officers (DEOs) instructing them to dismiss such teachers within 15 days and submit a report.

A total of 815 teachers are slated for termination according to instructions from the Education Department. Citing Petition No. 17115/2019 Ranjit Pandit and others Vs. State of Bihar, the Department reiterated previous directives to terminate the services of FIR accused teachers found guilty in the surveillance investigation.

According to district reports, out of 2126 FIR accused teachers, only 1310 have had their services terminated by various https://dailyingest.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Vicky-Kaushal.jpgistrative units. Termination proceedings for the remaining 815 accused teachers are still pending.

Given this context, the Department has directed action to be taken promptly to terminate the services of FIR accused teachers within one fortnight, coordinating efforts across districts and ensuring timely submission of action reports to the Department.
